Salmon Harvester Properties and Rock Care Partnerships announce plans for £45m development in High Wycombe
Salmon Harvester Properties and Rock Care Partnerships have acquired a 25-acre development site in Buckinghamshire on an unconditional basis with a view to constructing a large retirement village and dementia care home.
Salmon Harvester Properties and Rock Care Partnership were advised by Jones Lang LaSalle and successfully acquired The Wycliffe Centre conference site at Horsley’s Green, High Wycombe, with a delayed completion allowing time to obtain planning consent. If successful, construction of the £45m development will begin in early 2014.
Jones Lang LaSalle is retained to provide continued advice to the developer on its planning application, which is likely to include 100-plus assisted living units, a 30-bed dementia care home and a club house/communal facility providing services for residents and the wider village population.
Anthony Oldfield, associate director of Jones Lang LaSalle’s healthcare team, said “The retirement village market is a growing part of the healthcare sector. This represented a rare unconditional acquisition and we were delighted to secure the site on behalf of Salmon Harvester Properties and Rock Care Partnership for a new venture into this alternative sector. The site is extremely well suited for a retirement village as it currently has more than 100,000sq ft of existing accommodation and a C2 planning use. We are excited about continuing to work with our client to make the project a success.”
